It is a privilege to hear your thoughts about Paul's death in this way.<br />Yesterday's paper contained an obituary of poet Peter Porter. After the very tragic death of his wife in 1974 he turned to poetry to console himself. He said: 'It's a question of the mind being forced to find a way of dealing with something not in extenuation and not in therapy, but as a means of presenting the material to itself.
